7-Credit is the seventh chapter of the Hi Score Girl (manga).
Summary[]
Summer break is a day away and the students are elated by this. Akira, however, recalls being reprimanded by her tutor Moemi. Passing by the Totsuka Corner Shop, Akira overhears Haruo learning the location of a 10 yen arcade. Envigorated by this news, he borrows the shopkeeper's bike to the 10 yen arcade location and is joined by Akira. And so the two of them go on a joint expedition to the legendary arcade. Arriving at the arcade, called the Gashadokuro Arcade, it's noted for its shoddy appearance and moldy smell. Aside from that, it has a bunch of different arcade games like the original Street Fighter game. They briefly play a Street Fighter game together and note the difficultly with its antiquated buttons. While Akira plays, "Space Harrier", Haruo uses the crane game and wins a pink ring. Akira then signals Haruo that she wants to leave. Outside of the arcade, Haruo notes that he cannot find the key to the bike, and when he tries to go and look for them at the arcade, it's surprisingly gone. An old man passing by informs them that the arcade owner died four years prior. This information, causes Akira to have a temper fit on Haruo.
Afterward, the two walk home and when Haruo gets hungry, he buys some tonkatsu from a nearby deli for the two of them to enjoy. Also to make it easier for Akira to walk home, Haruo offers his shoes for her to wear. Eventually, Jīya arrives in his car to take her home, but before that, Haruo offers Akira to come to his house whenever she feels like it.
At their respective homes, Haruo is reprimanded by his mother for his grades and Akira is overwatched by her tutor Moemi during her piano lessons.
