The story revolves around the life of gamer Haruo Yaguchi, a gamer that is most known for his love of Fighting games, that changes that develop within both over time with a quiet female gamer Akira Ono and the lovestruck gamer Hidaka.
Difference Between the Manga[]
- The anime focuses almost exclusively on the relationship between Haruo and Akira and the eventual love triangle between Akira, Hidaka, and Haruo.
- Because of this most scenes are shortened and some subplots and events for characters like Hidaka, Miyao , and even Yaguchi Namie and Jiya were cut out, unlike the manga where it was given time to develop and explore.
- Some episodes are altered due to unknown reasons, for example in 10-Credit Haruo and Hidaka play the Vs mode of Art of Fighting as opposed to the anime using Street Fight Dash, this could be because of the rights they had over some games.
- Unlike the manga that uses credits for naming chapters, the anime use rounds to name their episodes. Possibly referencing how each episode has around 4 chapters adapted in each episode.
