Netflix Synopsis[]
Hidaka finally confesses her feelings for Haruo. Meanwhile, Akira's private tutor orders Haruo to stay away, telling him he's a bad distraction.
Summary[]
At school, Kōtarō and Haruo talk about how Koharu finally confessed her feelings for him and the condition she imposed on him. Kōtarō suggests that Haruo accept Koharu's challenge and he agrees as well.
Meanwhile, at Akira's mansion, Akira is pestered by her older sister Makoto. When Jīya inquires about Moemi whereabouts, Makoto claims she's out to deal with a certain "bug". That bug unsurprisingly is Haruo and she visits his household. Although Moemi is thankful that he's friends with Akira, she admonishes him from continuing his relationship with Akira. The reason for it is that she believes he's nothing more than a distraction for Akira and her studies. Haruo's mother then intervenes in the conversation and defends Haruo as having no ulterior motive in his relationship with Akira. Once the rain starts to settle, Moemi leaves and is lent an umbrella for her walk home. Happy that his mother stood up for him, once she reads his report card, she reprimands him.
Summer break is close by, however, Haruo's mood is dour. He contemplates about Akira and Koharu, but decides to attend the AOU Show to calm his nerves. Meanwhile, at Akira's mansion, Jīya is reprimanded by Moemi for giving Akira a Game Gear to play with. Elsewhere, Makoto informs Akira about the disciplinary action against Jīya. Akira then rushes over to Jīya who reassures her that he's only been temporarily dismissed of his duties until summer break is over. However, Jīya proposes Akira comes with him for one last drive to a place that he wants to go to. That place is Haruo's house, where Jīya is served a stack of pancakes by his mother and Akira spends time with Haruo at a local arcade. There they play China Gate and an assortment of other arcade games together. Akira also enjoys playing Virtua Fighter 2.1 by herself as Haruo stands by and watches.
Afterward, the two attend the local festival and enjoy the food being sold at the stalls there. A flashback is shown where Jīya discloses to Haruo and his mother that he has been terminated by his position as Akira's butler. Jīya implores that Haruo continues being Akira's emotional support. Back in the present, Akira wins the newest copy of Final Fantasy and after a moment between the two, Jīya drives Akira.
