With summer vacation coming to an end, Haruo and Akira join their classmates on a trip to the flower park, but eye the amusement park next door.
Summary[]
Akira loses a game against Vega using Dhalsim and Haruo approaches and notes the fact to her. Haruo then asks Akira if Genta approached her to come to the Flower Park with him, as he asked him as well.
Genta, Akira, Haruo, and other classmates of theirs meet up at the Flower Park. It's Genta's intention for setting the meet-up so he could ask Akira on a date with his chances being increased by the presence of a bunch of dull wads. Growing bored with the park, Haruo suggests they go to the amusement park next door. Although Genta initially is against this plan, he reconsiders, figuring that the location is far greater than his original destination. So, Genta tries to ask Akira out, but is interrupted by Haruo much to his chagrin. A girl in their group named Chihiro then suggests they ride on the ferris wheel and Genta beams at this opportunity. Promptly, Genta pairs with Akira, while Haruo pairs up with Chihiro, who demands to see his "bone". Absolutely distraught, Haruo flees the scene with Chihiro tailing him.
Managing to lose his pursuer, Haruo makes it to the arcade area and meets Akira there. Due to the long waiting line for Street Fighter II, Akira and Haruo play Darius II together and then Spacegun. Once they're done with that game, they play Final Fight together. Meanwhile, Ganta is dejected as he was abandoned by Akira and is also tantalized by Chihiro. Back to Akira and Haruo who play their game well together. Eventually, dusk starts to settle, but before they leave, the two have fun around the amusement park until its time to close. Together, they take a bus ride home.
The following day at school, it's revealed that Akira will be studying abroad. The news is later officially announced by the teacher and is further detailed that Akira will be studying in Los Angeles. Everyone in the classroom gives Akira a going-away present, except Haruo who gives a disparaging comment toward her. Afterward, Jīya drives Akira home, as her classmates see her off. Afterschool, Haruo reflects on how he didn't get a present for Akira, because of her eccentric nature. Furthermore, his mother even gave him 1k yen for him to spend on for a present for her. Instead, Haruo uses the money to play at the arcade and while he's there, he reflects on his experiences with Akira. Suddenly, various video game characters goad Haruo to be true to himself and meet with Akira. Enthralled by the video games pleas, Haruo rushes to the airport where Akira is at where she's seen off by Moemi and Jīya. Once there, Haruo has a heart to heart with Akira and gives her the ring he won in the mysterious arcade they were at. Emotionally distraught, Akira hugs Haruo and is eventually had to be pried away from Haruo so they couldn't be late for their flight.
